Privacy
Short version: this website counts visits without cookies, keeps your email only if you pay or write to us, and never sees what happens in your terminal.
This website
- Analytics. We use Umami, which we host ourselves. It counts page views, where visitors came from, and a few clicks (like the download button), in aggregate. It sets no cookies and doesn't follow you across sites. No advertising or tracking scripts run here.
- Subscriptions. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record; we never see your card. To check remote access, our relay keeps your Mac's public key, when it first connected (for the free trial), and its license key and activation.
- Server logs. Our web server keeps standard request logs for this website (IP address, page, browser) for operations and abuse prevention, for a limited time.
The app and the relay
- Your terminal stays yours. Sessions run on your Mac. Remote traffic is end-to-end encrypted, so the relay can't read commands, output or session names. How the encryption works.
- The relay keeps no request logs and stores nothing about your sessions. While you're connected it knows which Macs are online (as public keys) and phone IP addresses.
- At home, nothing leaves your network. On the same Wi-Fi, your phone talks directly to your Mac.
- Updates. The app checks pandasend.space for a new version a few times a day. That request carries your IP address, the app version and your platform (like macOS on Apple silicon), nothing else. We use it to count how many installs check in each day, per platform; we don't store the address.
- Notifications. If you turn them on, your Mac sends them through your phone's push service (Apple, Google or Mozilla), encrypted so the push service can't read them. They contain only the session's name.
