The PandaSend guide


# From phone to reader.

A direct connection, a browser, and your next book. PandaSend is coming soon; this guide describes the current app workflow.


## 1. Add a book or article

Import a supported ebook file from your phone. For a web article, choose Add from a link, paste its URL, then choose Create book. Article conversion needs internet, so do this before switching networks.


## 2. Turn on your phone’s hotspot

On iPhone, open Settings → Personal Hotspot and enable Allow Others to Join. On Android, enable Wi-Fi hotspot or Mobile Hotspot in Settings. Names vary by phone. Set a password and keep it handy.

On your Kobo, open Wi-Fi settings, choose your phone’s hotspot and enter its password. Both devices must be able to communicate locally.

Why a hotspot? Some routers and guest networks isolate connected devices. A phone hotspot avoids that common obstacle. Shared Wi-Fi can also work when device-to-device connections are allowed.


## 3. Open the address on your reader

Return to PandaSend, select your book or books, and open the send screen. On Kobo Libra Colour, go to More → Beta Features → Web Browser.

Enter the exact address currently shown in PandaSend into the browser’s address bar. It begins with http:// and includes port :8080. Do not search for it or replace it with this website’s address. The address can change when networks change.


## 4. Download and read

Tap a book on the reader’s download page. Keep PandaSend open until downloads finish, then let your reader import the files. A completed send confirms file delivery; it does not confirm that the reader has imported or opened the book.


## Choose a compatible file

You can add EPUB, KEPUB (.kepub.epub), PDF, MOBI, CBZ, CBR, TXT, RTF and HTML. Your reader must support the format. PandaSend does not remove DRM or convert existing ebook formats.

The workflow is tested with a stock Kobo Libra Colour. Other reader support is Beta and depends on browser downloading and file support. Kindle is not supported.
